The Problem: Some mods like retextures work fine in game pass games because Microsoft add the option "Enable Mods" that remove some permissions restrictions of the xbox app client for Windows 10, which is a good think but not all mods can be ported using this solution, some mods depends on tools like Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) () for work properly, one of the core problems is that all of these games must be started through the game launcher via the Xbox app and it may not be possible for mod managers to detect the game from a "cold start" of the system due to the game files needing to be "mounted" for it to be detectable, permissions restrictions due to the protection of access to the files are also a problem.
